Winner of Antique Dealer of the Year - Isak Ström Modernisten

Motivation:
Isak Ström Modernisten is a warm and open man with his heart in the right place.
You could say that he is a man of clean lines, is very sure of form, and creates a good presentation with modern design, both on the website and in his shop formerly on Söder, soon to be in Frihamnen.
Isak Ström Modernisten wets his finger and holds it up in the air to see how the winds blow, and is great at feeling the currents in the industry.

Art collector Mikael Ståhl has created the Ståhl Collection, which includes contemporary art from Nathalie Djurberg, Karin Mamma Andersson and Ann Edholm to international artists such as Louise Bourgeois and Ai Weiwei.
Mikael Ståhl collects with passion and the collection is constantly expanding.
Approximately 170-180 works are displayed in the old Yllefabriken in Norrköping.
To benefit future generations of artists, Mikael Ståhl has established a scholarship.

Winner of Inspirer of the Year - Sörmlands Museum

Motivation:
Over the past year, many people have become aware of Sörmlands Museum, one of the country’s most exciting museums.
Through the extensive and brilliant exhibition on NK’s furniture, it has filled a void in Swedish furniture history.
The museum and its exhibition are right on time as the interest in Swedish 20th century furniture made by and for our country’s most prominent department store is hard currency around the world.

Winner of Book of the Year - Stories about Småland design furniture 1900-1999 by Johan Sjöberg

Motivation:
With contributions from designers and furniture historians, Johan Sjöberg has compiled a fantastic work with its roots in the forests of Småland.
The book is based on his impressive collection of both unique and well-known furniture classics.

Winner of the Rarity of the Year - Björn Gremner, AntikWest

Motivation:
This year’s rarity is the Gyllenborg plate with the cloud – a plate made in China in 1755 for the Gyllenborg family.
The sketch of the plate was sent from Gothenburg and on the way to China the paper was damaged by moisture and the ink ran out around the family coat of arms.
A year later, the service arrived in Sweden and it turned out that the Chinese artists had carefully followed the moisture-damaged drawing and surrounded the coat of arms with what looks like a cloud.
Parts of the service are in the collections of the Museums of World Culture.
